Wild Terra 2: New Lands Controls

Mastering key bindings early saves frustration in the ship tutorial and beyond. Wild Terra 2 uses a classic PC layout with skill-based combat that rewards quick access to inventory and crafting menus.

Movement & Camera

W/A/S/D — Move character forward, left, backward, right.

Mouse — Control camera direction and attack targeting (non-target combat depends on cursor position).

Shift — Sprint (consumes stamina based on encumbrance).

Space — Jump. Useful for platform sequences in the ship tutorial and dungeon navigation.

Combat Keys

Left mouse button — Basic attack (swing, thrust, or shot depending on weapon).

Right mouse button — Block or special ability depending on equipped weapon.

Number keys 1–0 — Hotbar abilities, bound to weapon and learned skills.

Tab or middle mouse button — Manually cycle targets in full PvP (no hard lock-on).

Non-target system: You must aim at enemies. Practice on ship rats and sharks during the tutorial.

UI & Inventory

Q — Quest tracker and quest log. Essential during the ship tutorial.

J — Journal (long-term milestone bonuses).

I — Inventory.

U — Equipment paperdoll.

K — Skills and skill progression.

N — Actions / emotes (required for tutorial quests like waving to NPCs).

Enter — Open chat. For trade, guild, and local channels.

Crafting & Building

C — Craft & Build menu. Recipes, workbenches, and building plans.

Interact key (E default) — Gather resources, open containers, talk to NPCs.

Drag-and-drop in inventory to split stacks and sort materials.

Quality crafting requires appropriate workbenches: Bloomery, Crucible Furnace, Anvil, etc.
